We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Middlebury Inn in Vermont! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed. The historic charm of the almost 200 years old hotel is beautifully preserved and blending with modern comfort. Our room was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully furnished, with lovely views of the town green. The attention to detail was exceptional. The location couldn’t be better. Right in the heart of Middlebury, we were just steps away from shops and restaurants. We’re already looking forward to our next visit, maybe to celebrate their 200 year anniversary in 2027. Highly recommend the Middlebury Inn for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and soak in Vermont charm! Cheers,
Absolutely beautiful....suite is wonderful right down to the whirlpool tub. Home cooked from scratch meal was phenomenal. Highly recommend
Our second time visiting this town and staying at Middlebury Inn. Love it! It a very old Inn, but it has been kept in great condition. Rooms are quaint and lovely. The restaurant within is attractive with a nice atmosphere, good food and service. The Inn's location is perfect with shops, coffee shops, eateries all within walking distance. Reasonable prices, too. Hope to return again next year.
Great location. Breakfast and coffee were great. Greg at Reception Desk was excellent and every recommendation from Greg was a good one. Everything was clean. The other employees would not stand up from desk behind counter when you had a question.
I came here for my brother's wedding and I wasn't disappointed. This is a historical hotel that sits at the heart of Middlebury, which makes for a great tourist attraction. The hotel is well situated, everything is nearby, including a great view of the waterfall. You can definitely feel that the hotel is old but to me it didn't take away from the experience, if anything, it added to it. The rooms were nice, spacious and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and provided a variety of services before, during and after the wedding, including serving alcohol and food. Overall I was very pleased with my stay here.
Very much enjoyed our brief stay here. Great location right in downtown Middlebury. Our room was large, pleasant, and comfortable. The main building dates from 1827 and is quite charming. Coffee self-service Is available in the lobby from around 6 a.m. for early risers.
We took a chance and we were so satisfied that we made another reservation during foliage season. Everything was not only excellent, but there was charm everywhere. Best of Show goes to the 1926 Otis Elevator! It needs the desk clerk to operate it, but you'll never see it's like in another hotel. It's in perfect condition and big and comfortable.
We didn't stay here but we ended up meeting a meal here. But I can comment on the feel of the place and it's definitely cozy and Lodge like. Definitely looks like a nice place to stay when you're in the area
